About

Staff-level DevOps & Platform Engineer → now building AI-powered UX tools

Background

I've spent the last decade at the intersection of infrastructure and innovation, leading DevOps and platform initiatives at companies like Mighty Networks, Nike, and DAT Freight.

My journey has been about making technology disappear into the background so humans can do their most creative work. From migrating monoliths to microservices to cutting infrastructure costs and scaling CI/CD pipelines, I've always focused on building systems that are both resilient and elegant.

Now I'm exploring the edges where AI meets human experience, building tools like Vesper that feel fluid, listen deeply, and empower people to tell better stories about themselves.

Vesper Build Notes

Building Vesper has been a fascinating journey into voice-powered AI and real-time narrative reframing. Here are some key insights from the development process:

UX at Soul Level: Creating software that listens and feels fluid requires thinking beyond traditional interfaces to how technology can become a genuine conversation partner.
Real-time Processing: The challenge of maintaining low latency while processing voice input and generating meaningful responses pushed me deeper into streaming architectures and optimization.
AI as Creative Tool: Vesper taught me that AI is most powerful when it's designed to augment human creativity rather than replace it.
